Joining local and national trade groups such as the American Insurance Association, the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) Society, the Group Underwriters Association of America, the Health Insurance Association of America, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, gives you instant credibility and puts you in the same category as thousands of other well-respected, prominent and likely profitable agents throughout your state if not the entire country. The dues you pay may seem to not buy you anything, but they do. What they buy you is a direct connection to other agents who have gotten where you want to be.
