In a world where almost everything is insured, a car insurance in the UK is something that is of utmost importance. With inflation terrorising the citizens of the UK, many of them neglect to get or even renew their insurance. Hence it is found that at least one third of the motorists in UK drive with no insurance, further leading to an increase in the number of accidents that take place. Unemployment also poses as a contributing factor to this problem. Many car insurance companies now provide cheap car insurance as an attempt to deal with this situation.

It is estimated that approximately 75% of the UK population are car owners and hence introducing a cheap car insurance would be a beneficial asset to own.

One recent trend is location-based social networks that allow people to let their friends know where they are, usually through GPS-enabled smartphones, by “checking-in” at different destinations. For my journey home from France I had planned to take a bus to Toulon, the TGV train to Nice, and a bus to the airport with two hours to spare for my easyJet flight to Edinburgh. The first bus never turned up and the next arrived too late to catch the train. The following train was 40 minutes late so I caught a slow train and got to the easyJet gate 10 minutes after it closed. I took a BA flight costing £607.

My insurer, Flexicover, said it would consider a claim for missed departure if I provided written confirmation that the bus and train had both been delayed. The bus company replied the following day but SNCF told me to contact Rail Europe in the UK.

According to latest research, young UK motorists showcase safe driving behaviour as compared to their European counterparts and buy insurance cover from car insurance supermarket to safeguard against unpredictable situations.

The UK drivers under 25 are 30% less likely to make claim as compared to the ones in France and Spain. The drink driving is more prevalent in European drivers as 18% of them drive after more than two alcoholic drinks as compared to 5% of young British motorists.

As far as driving too fast is concerned around 24% of British drivers less than 25 drivers admit to exceed the speed limit while 38% of the European drivers are disobeying the speed rules.
